How the area is laid out
From the resort, the Arrondaz gondola climbs to a wide high plateau surrounded by peaks: the natural meeting point for families, with the green and blue runs and the Kid Park. From there, the Punta Bagna chairlift reaches the top of the area; on the south side, the Punta Bagna couloirs and powder fields; on the other side, the long Jeu run back down to the resort.
The resort is known for its snow: exposure to the “retour d’Est” (weather systems from Italy) regularly brings very heavy snowfall on the border.
One pass, two resorts
The Valfréjus pass is shared with La Norma, the neighbouring resort: 135 km of slopes in total. A free shuttle for pass holders links the two resorts every 45 minutes. An “Espace Haute Maurienne Vanoise” pass also covers the other resorts of the valley (Aussois, Val Cenis, Bonneval-sur-Arc…): details and prices on the resort website.
For winter 2026-2027 the resort announces a family offer: for two adult 6-day passes, 50% off children’s and teens’ passes. Buying online before arrival is recommended.
From the apartment
The apartment is 50 m from the lifts: ski locker on the ground floor, and you can walk home for lunch. The area’s mountain restaurants are listed on the resort website.
