The Valfréjus ESF
The École du Ski Français of Valfréjus is the school listed by the tourist office. Group and private lessons, alpine skiing and snowboarding, all levels. The atmosphere is family-like: the resort is human-sized and lessons start from the bottom of the slopes, a stone’s throw from the apartment.
For the youngest, the Club Piou-Piou (ESF) welcomes children in supervised group lessons on a protected area. Places go fast during school holidays: book at the same time as your stay.

Independent instructors and guides
The resort also lists independent instructors and, for off-piste and ski touring, guides and mountain leaders. The right option for a private lesson at a flexible time, a freeride initiation or a guided outing to the Thabor hut.
Our tips
- Group lessons are booked by the week, Sunday or Monday to Friday: arrive on Saturday, which is the apartment’s winter rhythm.
- Rent equipment the evening before to avoid the first-morning queue.
- The Arrondaz plateau (gondola) is the ideal meeting point between children in lessons and skiing parents.
